I might have missed it but I couldn't find this in the forums.

I will be using 'Priority Flat Rate' for my products.

My question is, in the shop settings, I entered $5.35 as a minimum.

Is that all I have to do?

I also noticed that, in the Product Basic Info Tab, there is a place to enter shipping under the optional charges section.

I realize that would be the shipping for that particular product.

There is also a checkbox for apply default.

Does default refer to the shipping in the shop settings? Or is that something else?

If you click on the little question marks in the shipping setup it gives a pretty good description of what each setting does. The best thing to do is make your settings then test things by adding thing to your cart checking out to see what charges get applied to make sure your settings are correct.

I tested the shipping on a couple of different scenarios and it worked just fine.

Looks like putting the flat rate in the minimum box covers what I need.
