Is it possible to delete the page heading? I don't really see the need to have "Home Shop" on the homepage. I know I can change this heading but I'd prefer not to have it.

I just re-read your question for the third time and it sank in. No, you cannot remove the Page Heading, if you could it would only be with SCDP (Designer), which you can't. You can change it in appearance, but not delete. If you re-name that page, the title becomes what you renamed it to, no longer "Home Shop".

If "Home Shop" is your Home Page, as is mine, why not just change the name to "Home"??
You cannot delete any pages that are defaults, only those that you created (5 possible). You can change it though to be another page that you want, like "About". But beware if you do that certain things cannot be changed, like, when your website is up and running, if you have put a logo at the top of your page, when a person clicks on this log it takes them bace to the "Home Shop" page by default. If you have renamed this page to "About" or whatever, then that is the page that they are returned to, not the Home page.

Thanks for the response.

I figured as much. I've managed to remove it manually but perhaps in a future version a simple tick box might be a good idea...as to whether or not you have a heading on a page. In my case, I don't mind the headings on the other pages...just didn't want it on the homepage.

I agree. It seems kind or redundant to do so.

Be sure to put that tick box suggestion in the upgrade suggestion thread.

Google and yahoo use it, so leave it there

however in designer you can change the text colour to blend into the background so it gets hidden, and chage the size to very small to save space (which is what i do)

Still does the job it was intended to do though

How do you change the font size in Designer? The only thing I see is a percentage? and the lowest is 80%

For those who wish to use SCC as is...and lets face it...that's how it's supposed to be used...then Jewelcraft's suggestion is the way to go.

I, on the other hand, like to complicate things and so mucking around with the code is the only way to go...for the moment...until a tick box comes in! :D

I created my homepage in VSD - that way you can do whatever you want. No Header. But I have a header on the (other) shop pages.
