I have a properly formatted csv file that I need to import into SCCP. It seems to work or, but throws an error when it tries to import pictures, which are stored on a server elsewhere on the net. I've tried the http://blah.blah/pics and blah.blah/pics format and it still fails. Can SCCP do remote pic import?

For the import to work, you have to specify a file path on your local computer like C:\documents\image.png. You cannot use a path located on another server.

Can I use a picture on another server when the store is live? i.e. can the picture source be a URL?

No you cannot. When you add that picture to SCC, it will be added to your shop on that server.

Ok, one last question on this issue. I've noticed that I can use a URL to get a picture when I'm designing the store. Specifically the 'double click to add a picture' command. I'm assuming that after SCCP gets the picture it sores it in a local directory. So ... What I'm trying to do is import many pics from a drop ship company that provides a URL to the picture in the CSV file it can export. Do you or anyone know of a way to work around this issue - a picture at a time would now work - anyone know of a good batch file downloader? It would be an easy fix to modify the spreadsheet with the local file location.
