Glad it is working for you Riz, not sure on the rest myself either as I'm just winging it on how it "should" work or how "I think" it should work lol.

so i have tried adding the google tracking code in SCCP, both in the header and footer sections of the custom markup options (not at the same time) yet the code never gets added once the site has been saved and uploaded. I have also attempted to add the code as custom HTML (using the blue HTML button) in the basic page section but again the tracking code does not get added to the final page after it has been saved and uploaded to the server.

Any ideas?

This is my first website so I am learning as i go. The website is www.lightbulbsandfixtures.com.
Currently I have the google tracking code as HTML in the page option of SCCP, as well as in the footer content of the custom markup area under shop settings.
I included a screen shot of some of the code and where I currently have it. I am also open to any suggestions you may have on the actual site itself if anything pops out at you.

I was messing around with some of the settings and happened to look at the upload destination on the server and discovered that somehow it was uploading everything into a sub folder rather than into the public directory. I just re-uploaded everything and it looks like everything is where it should be, including the tracking code - thanks for looking anyway.
