I want to offer discounts, promotions, etc. The site http://mals-e.com has a cart system that integrates with paypal (which is what I use) and allows this feature free of charge. My site/store has been built in SCCP. Is there a way to use Mal's E with my shop?

If not, if my site is designed in VSD (I really dont want to redesign my site, seriously) can I then integrate with Mal's E's shopping cart? (No really, I dont want to do this).

I really need to offer promotions, discounts, etc... and I know CC doesnt have that feature on the priority list. So I'm looking for a solution. Suggestions appreciated.

Hiya K.,

You cannot integrate other carts with the SCC carts if that's what you're asking. The cart system from CC is a fully function all inclusive site all on it's own and doesn't integrate at all with other sites, carts, etc.

Having said that, the only other thing you "can" do is set an external Home page to be the home page of the site which you can add a menu item on to open your shop. You can do this in the settings of the Your Home area of the SCC programs.

I don't know what Mals-E's is at all, but sounds like it's already a cart, it's not something you can setup with CC's shopping cart programs.

To use the SCC programs (Pro or Basic) you need to setup one of the supported payment processors (see the site details on each program's page under software to see which ones are supported) and can use "only" those available on that list.

Hi - Mals-e (www.mals-e.com) is a popular cart / payment provider in the UK. It is not an ecommerce site such as SCC. It is used by other e-commerce providers and allows the option of storing data using ssl which can then be used to take payment via a merchant bank. It also has the option of payment via paypal, worldpay, nochex etc.
Could you please check it out with a view of adding it to SCC as another payment option
