All payment and invoice info is handle through Paypal. You should be able to make some changes on your Paypal account by activating an IPN or API and do custom scripting. I'm doing this on one of my sites but I'm not using SCCP I'm only using Paypal buttons.
This may help.

All of the necessary info would be found on the Paypal developer site.

Hi Eric,

I am setting up my business account on PayPal. I am at the point were I need to add 3rd party permission to my account. it is asking for a username. What does it want from me? A specific name from coffee cup or my S drive? Or do I create a username that I will use later on when playing around with my inventory?

Thanks again, awfully confused hehe

Yeah it's the step 6 I'm struggling with.. Who do I contact to find out that username? Or where do I look on shopping cart creator?

I'm not sure on that. I haven't used the API solution only the IPN and that wasn't with SCCP. I'll have to read a little when I get a chance.

Not a problem. No mad rush. I'd just like to get to know how it all works before I begin to invest in marketting my shop. Get back to me when you can.

Can anyone help with this? I'm really confused now!
The step by step guide from coffee cup can be found here... http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … p-payment/

It seems a litte wrong as I received this email back from paypal today.

Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding to the instructions that your checkout provider has given you to set up express checkout on your website.

From reviewing the website of Http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -payment/, from reviewing this I can see that once you get to option 10 this is where the instructions start to follow a incorrect path.

Instead of copying your own API username that is generated from your PayPal account, this is usually something set up via the checkout system itself. This would then grant permissions to this checkout system, whereas the instructions are looping you to grant permissions to your own PayPal account.

Essentially your set up would either take your API username, password and signature as set up in steps 1 - 8, or you would grant permissions via using steps 1-4, then 9 -13. I would advise to check with your checkout provider to ensure this is set correctly with them.

I am confident this will assist you to resolve this, and thank you for choosing PayPal.

Yours sincerely,
Wayne

So I have completed steps 1-8 and simply entered the username, password and signature that paypal generated into the shopping cart software. That appears to be all I have to do according to this email?

But the Paypal website still has my account as incomplete and takes me to the same step 'grant API access'.. Has anybody else had this problem? For your information I am trying to set up the PayPal Express Checkout. Many thanks in advance. Terribly confused !

Tom
