Okay I’m not sure if this is the correct board to post this on but I am so confused. I built my site and now I would like to publish it. I already own the domain name and my current site is going through IX Web hosting. How do I transfer that to coffee cup and publish the site? I am like the head novice of all the novice so sorry if this is a dumb question. I have had the site built for like 3 months I’m just lost.
Thank you so much

Hiya Audra,
I'm going to ask first the basic question. What program are you using that you are trying to publish your site with? That will help us know how to help you better. Once we know that we can move your post to the specific forum it should be in as it's definitely not sounding like you plan to use S-Drive so we'll take care of that then too.

I don't have one . I would like to do everything through coffee cup. Or just as simple as possible I guess. What is a good one to use?
Well you are saying you already built your site, what did you build it in?
Oh I used the Visual site Designer. Is that what you mean?
Yep that's what we needed to know, thanks
I'll let Eric or Viv chime in here as well as a few others as they use VSD and I have not used it. It can be done though, so hang in there I'm sure someone will be along that can help get you through getting your site published. I know the main thing is having the correct FTP settings in the program, but I've not delved into that program enough to know where to tell you to find things etc., but many others have so I'm sure one of them will be along shortly

This should make for some interesting reading.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

I had the same question as Audra but I am also wondering if its possible to edit a website once published? If so, is it easy or difficult?
Set up the ftp or CC Sdrive settings once in VSD
Publish
Edit at will on your PC and when you finished hit the publish button
VSD will delete anything no longer used, and add all your new edits, pages etc
You will have to refresh the pages afterwards in your browser to see them SOMETIMES

I know this is maybe off course, but was interested in this post. I haven't got a clue about S-Drive, I've been away quite some time. However my questions are related to this, so:
1. If a site has been made in the HTML editor or any text editor can you still use S-Drive?? I've never used VSD and don't plan to.
2. If you can use any editor, how does one set it up?
Thanks for any advice as always
