C-Name? Domain Alias? DNS? I am...

I have created a site for a client with VSD and have the site hosted on S-Drive. The present domain name is pcmhs.coffeecup.com. The client has purchased a domain name from domain.com (www.paradisecovemarinahs.com). I accessed the control panel at domain.com for the registered name, but I am unsure as to what I need to change to get the website to point to propagate with the new domain name. In other words, if someone types www.paradisecovemarinahs.com in a browser address bar, I want the site to load as that, and not pcmhs.coffeecup.com. I have included a picture of the admin control panel window on domain.com website. Thanks for any info.

You need to setup 2 things.

1. An A Record that points to 66.223.62.9
2. CNAME record that points to @

Once you do that, you can then associate that domain with your CoffeeCup address.

Thanks, Scott. 'A' record is taken care of....changed server to 66.223.62.9. As for the C-Name, Domain.com has a host name box and a points to box. I am still confused as to what exact info I need to enter there. I have provided a picture of the domain.com admin page with the drop-down box selection of C-Name..

Host should be @ and points to paradisecovemarinahs.com. If the do not allow that, set host to www and points to 66.223.62.9

Yes. You do that at https://www.coffeecup.com/domains/

Remember, it can take up to 24 hours for DNS changes to filter.
