One column fixed with - Post ID 239694
I'm just starting in RLM, and was wondering if (and how) it's possible to have one column of a three column layout fixed width. So the two other scale down when resizing the window, and the third column remains the same width (until the next breakpoint) ?
You should be able to add either a link to a custom style sheet or some custom style code to the head section in RLM.
<style>
body > .row > .column-1 {
width:300px;
}
@media screen and (max-width: 780px) {
body > .row > .column-1 {
width:200px;
}
</style>
body > .row > .column-1 {
width:300px;
}
@media screen and (max-width: 780px) {
body > .row > .column-1 {
width:200px;
}
</style>

Thanks Eric.
I already tried that, but it's the third column and when I fix it's size it jumps to the next line as soon as the viewport is getting too small.
Third column gets content which may not be scaled, so the scaling must come from the first two columns.
Already tried to just put fixed width content in it, but that will have it partly invisible as soon as the window gets too small.

I haven't experimented with this, but what if you put a container in the column and assign a min-width to it?

So do you want the column on the left side of the page to be fixed?

Thanks Eric, It should be something like the second one. Right column fixed. But still the remaining white space on the left side should be filled by the other two columns. I've been experimenting some more, but I guess it's a limitation of the/any grid system.
How about now?

Try the above Edwin.
On the column you want to stay a certain width, change all padding to 0 so your container will fill it. Insert a container into that column. Set the left and right padding of the container to 8 (that’s normal padding on a column). Set the min width of the container to the width you want it. You can then put text or whatever you want into the container.
Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
