Here's the link to my test site:

http://www.mytestblog.net/home/index.shtml

The only links that work are the Home and Location on the top menu. If you click anything else it probably won't take you anywhere.

Just scroll to the bottom and look at the bottom of the 'paper'. I'm stumped and there's conflicting info in Firebug.

This is because you added 8px padding to the left and right of the column you have the "paper" image in. You would need to remove that padding in RLM to correct that issue.

I would also recommend giving that column its own class name so that you do not change all the columns of your site. :P

Adam,

Thanks for chiming in on this.

I went in and looked in RLM and all three columns have the 8px padding on both sides.

Good idea about classing the columns. I usually do that for anything I might want to adjust. I will do that for these three columns just in case.

Now I'm not sure where to go or what to do because this happened after the last RLM update and I added the Facebook text and icon. Just the bottom paper image and not the footer that Paintbrush was talking about.

I'm going to keep trying to figure out how to fix this and I'll try your suggestion first.

Thanks.

This is because you are using Coffeegrinder. We found that 90% of the time most website designs have a padding on their content columns, it ranged from 6px to 12px. Thus we made the default padding of columns in CoffeeGrinder 8px.

If they all have the same padding I don't understand why it would cause just one of the images shrink. Wouldn't both the top and bottom have done that?

When I first put this site live everything looked good. (Well, except for all the things that needed a little tweak love.) Then we had an update to RLM and I added a text box and Facebook icon to the index page and the one image doesn't fit.

Should I try taking all the padding out of the three central parts of the page and see what happens? If I do that won't I have to create padding for some of the page content?

That is why you give that one column a new class name, which means it will not effect the other columns.

I would have to see your project file to be more helpful. If you could attach it, it would be easier. :P

Adam,

I thought I had it fixed but I've been at this way to long so I'll attach the file.

Thanks for taking a look. I know I must have done something to cause this.

Well now I don't feel so smart. I had my links wrong in my menu and was going back to the live site. I guess somehow I fixed this and didn't know.

I need to quit doing this during the day with interruptions and get up at midnight and work. Now I just have to figure out what I did so I'll know.

Adam, if you find anything in my file please let me know.

Thanks,

Ernie

I'm not so sure this is fixed. I uploaded the file from before the RLM update and it works with the exception of not having the text and Facebook icon.

It's late and I'm going to try exporting everything tomorrow and see if I can get the latest page to work.

My brain is fried and I'm calling it a night.

Thank you everyone for the help.

I deleted the padding from the three columns and uploaded everything and the page now loads OK. I'm still going to try it again with the margins on the test site just to see if that's what caused the issue.

I was thinking early this morning (1:30am, while the neighbors dogs were barking) this could have been a corrupt file.

Adam, if you see anything in my file that needs to be fixed please let me know. I'm new to all this responsive stuff and don't want to start off with bad habits.
