Yea its those image galleries mostly thats causing the bulk

Notice what happens when it gets to the smartphone sizes of around 480 and down.

I agree with Eric that the page is a bit heavy on the megabytes.
I'm not sure, though, that the image gallery is all that dominating.

I noticed something odd in the pingdom summary: - are you really loading eight (8) instances of woff fonts, each weighing in at 244kB, for a total of almost 2mB?? (see screenshot).

You also have an amazing collection of scripts (13 files, 464kB) and css files (18 files, 202kB). If you take a close look at what they are and how big they are, you may get a few surprises...

Thats funny because the only scripts i used was the ones that the RLM pumped out. Yea I will compress my header image... just noticed that.

And those iconoon ultimate files are what the button builder is pumping out.
