Hi, I am testing the RED trial version and have created a test email.

I need to export to my hard disk the html with all the images used in a folder ("images") and correctly linked in the html.

But when I choose to export from RED it always uploads all the images and I only get the html file with the images linked to the cloud.

Is there an option to export everything locally?

When you setup your links for your images in your email's html, have them already in a directory on your site and link to them with absolute links within RED.

Hi, I didn't really understand this answer. If the goal is to export a single html file and an "images" folder, with all links in the html being "<img src="image/image.jpg">", what are the steps to do that? (I'm also in free trial period, and this will be a hard stop if it can't be done - my vendor requires html with images folder and only local links.

I purchased Email Designer only to encounter the same question as Rob here. We're using Campaign Monitor, and the sole way we can work is, export a single html file and an "images" folder, with all links in the html being "<img src="image/image.jpg">".

What are the steps to do that?

Prior to purchase, I noted CoffeeCup's Email Designer page notes compatibility with Campaign Monitor (it's in the red section at the bottom of the Email Designer sales page). As far as I can tell, there is no other way to upload our own template to third party services such as Campaign Monitor. Thus, I need the answer to Rob's question.

I note that I did attempt following the steps on your page (https://email-images.coffeecup.com/), however, it does not work. That process results in Campaign Monitor being unable to upload the images.

Now select Local Image
Now you can create a folder and add images to it.

Well, that explains how to create locally stored email (which I already had done), but it does not explain the promised compatibility nor solution/steps for a working upload to Campaign Monitor. Can you provide the step-by-step instructions for a working upload (meaning fail-proof) to Campaign Monitor?

What do you mean by Campaign Monitor?

I'm not familiar with the Campaign Monitor service. However, there are a couple of universal things that apply here as far as I can tell.

For your images to show up in your email, they need to be on a web server. Therefore, what Eric says applies. The image below provides an example.

1. Upload your image to your web hosting server wherever your web site is located.
2. In RED, change the Source for the image to "Online Image." (Top red arrow)
3. Put the entire URL for the image on your web server in the box below it. (Bottom red arrow) In the example below, the picture you see of the motorcycle rider is on the homepage of https://theakerssolution.com. I just copied the URL for the image and pasted it into RED.

When you do this, the image will show up in RED just as if it were local.

Using this method, you don't have to worry about exporting locally stored images. Again, I don't know how Campaign Monitor works, but if Campaign Monitor works the same way as MailChimp, all you need to do is export your project and then copy the html into Campaign Monitor.

Right on CoffeeCup's Email Designer sales page, it states compatibility with Campaign Monitor (using their logo) as a feature of Email Designer (see attached, lower right of image). If this is not actually the case, I would prefer a refund because I would not have purchased the software in the first place without its false claim. We do not use Mailchimp, so I cannot speak to its similarity or difference.

Campaign Monitor uses its own upload tool and as far as I can tell, there is no way to do what you have described within it.
