When I stop an autoplay and choose either next image or next icon, it takes me back to the first image. After that, it goes to the next image normally. What am I doing wrong?

I think I know why the first, previous, next and last icons aren't showing. I chose icon instead of image. But I still don't know why the next button takes me back to image 1 the first time I stop the slide show and click on it.

On my last slide show project I had put in several controls and then removed a couple of them because I did not like the way that they worked. I had put in the next and previous arrows and the play and the stop and the circles lighting up for the current on display. When I would hit stop and hit either previous or next they would work correctly. But when I would hit stop and then hit play, it would always go back to the first slide to play and not just go to the next slide from the stopped one. I just selected to stop auto play in the anim controls and then I removed the stop and play controls and keep the previous and next and position indicators so all of the control now is manual. Another reason is because I had some description read slides that needed a lot of time and I could not seem to assign different play lengths to the slides. Complete manual control solved all of the problems.
