Is it a Return ? Like when you press ENTER ...

It indicates a line wrap. I.e. the line with the marker is a continuation of the previous line.

Ah yes of course ...makes sense

You can toggle word wrap and line numbers, or switch the gutter which contains these off & on, by using the "Edit Display" icon above the display window - on my copy of Editor it's the 2nd from the right, it'll say "Edit Display" when you mouse over it.

You can also set it under Tools / Preferences / Customization and click on "Modify Options..."

Probably why I haven't seen them...all those extra bits just distract me...and I'm easily distracted and then forget what I'm doing.

I try to just concentrate on the code...which probably means I don't know half of what features the program has ...I'm always learning new things here in the forums
