You shouldn't have to monkey with the BIOS.:) What will happen if your pc crashes and you want to boot from a disc.:/ This is some kind of bug because mine only started doing it after my upgrade to Win 8 from Win 7.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Only mentioned BIOS because he said it was a new computer.

None of my computers look for a cd/dvd before booting to an internal hard disk. What do I do if it crashes? Boot to the BIOS and make it look for the dvd so I can boot from a dvd backup :D

I think I am going to open a support ticket for this because in conjunction with the "Format Disc" pop up, HTML Editor goes into a "Not Responding" state and I have restarted Editor several times and it is consistently locking up. :( - Completely unusable at this point and that is a major issue for me...as I use it daily.

I checked my other CC applications and they seem to work fine, which is expected.

Thanks for everyone's comments and if anyone runs across a fix, let me know!

Thanks,
Jared

Jared, have you tried uninstalling, rebooting pc, redownload the file and reinstall it? If not, give that a try first and see if that fixes it. Sometimes it's nothing more than Windows being a pain in the arse and doing a bad install. I'm on Windows 8 and I've not had this issue at all. I have sleep turned off completely other than monitors, I never let my computer sleep, *cracks that whip on the slave* lol. Anyways, try the reinstall and see if that works if you haven't already.

Thanks Jo Ann, I will definitely try that prior to opening a support ticket. Thanks!

Well, I uninstalled, rebooted and re-installed. No Dice...still getting the "No Disc..." pop up when I open the HTML editor.

I guess I will open a support ticket to see if they can duplicate the issue.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

I would never let any appliance be on whilst I slept, to big a chance of fire. Rare though it may be, it happens. Even with smoke alarms I would not trust any appliance. None on standby, all off. Only things that we allow are ceiling fans in summer.

haha I never said I left it on when I went to bed, just said I don't let it "sleep" not quite the same thing :P

I turn it off, no sleeping allowed lol.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
