Hello,

I'm a new user to this tool and so far everything is looking good. However, I have seen in the .PDF manual there is supposed to an "Editor Options" screen where you can setup default indents and such. However, I can't find this option anywhere. Does anybody know where this exists? Attached is a screen shot.

If this screen no longer exists for some reason, does anybody know where you got setup these kinds of things? Thanks!

Hiya SlyBelle,

If you open Tools >> Preferences
Then go to the Customization tab you'll see a pull down menu that allows you to choose what type of thing you want to modify and then hit the Modify Highlight or Options button to change your settings :)

Perfect...found it. Thank you. I do have another question. I have the option to "auto indent" turned on and my spaces set to two, but my code never seems to indent. I have to do it manually. What could I be doing wrong?

Thanks!

That's a question I don't know the answer too unfortunately, as I'm not sure how that indent setting works. I have it on in my program too. I think what it does is when you are typing code if you indent manually and at any point you hit the "Enter" key on your keyboard that it will then go to the next line and be in the last indented position so if you indent 10 spaces, type a bit of code then hit "Enter" it should go to the same 10 space indent until you hit the backspace to un-indent it.

That usually does work for me in that way, but if it's supposed to indent in some other way I don't know then.

I think you are right about what it does, I tried it and it worked that way. I guess what I thought it would actually do is automatically know you had nested levels even at the first position and then auto indent the next line, but looks like you have to manually start the first one and the additonal ones will follow.

Thanks again.

You're quite welcome, enjoy and ask away if you find anything else you need answered :)
