Vista home premium and HTML editor -...

I have Windows Vista, 3gigs of ram and most any update that I can find. This is a new computer and I am having issues with the CC HTML editor, both the 2007 and 2008 versions.
When I instal either of these, they work great the first time I use them. Close the program, open it again.
The "Word wrap" fails. My text runs off the right of my screen, and there is no horizontal scroll bar. Highlighting the text with the mouse is jumpy, and only gets a couple of words before having to highlight and try again. I can shut off the word wrap, then turn it on again. Same resultes, but at least when I shut if off, I get the scroll bar.

Both the 2007 and 2008 pre-release worked great on XP, so I figure it is a Vista issue. Has anyone got a workaround so that I can use the editor with word wrap turned on and working?
I did go to the options screen and make sure that word wrap was enabled.
If I uninstall, then install, it works the first time, but not after that.

Have you tried running the program as administrator to see if that makes any difference?

That is the first thing I tried. It worked for VSD, but made no change in HTML designer.
I think I have resolved this as of this morning. In XP, when I had the word wrap on and resized the window, the word wrap adjusted to the window size automatically. I never had to worry about any settings for the width of the word wrap.
Now that I run Vista, I had to go to tools/preferences/ make sure word wrap was on by default /seltect highlighting/modify/options/ then change the value of "word wrap column. It was set at 400, which was way too wide for my 21" monitor (makes no sense...400 what?) I changed it to 95, and now the word wrap works, but still does not format to the size of the window if I make the HTML editor window smaller.

It's like the word wrap witdh used to be pinned to the right side of the html editor window, and now it isn't.

At least now I can edit my web pages without chasing the code from here to accross the street.

Maybe those settings have been there all along, but I never had to change them until I got a Vista computer. Is it coincidence that CC changes something at that time, or is it Vista?

Cliff, I have a working word wrap in Vista. I had a page open in html Editor 2008 code mode before I switched the word wrap on, and it had a horizontal scrollbar. After I had applied word wrap, nothing changed on that page until I closed it and reopened it. The horiz. scrollbar was gone, of course, because it was not needed. I have not run html Editor as Adm, and I have the UAC turned off.
Ha en riktig god dag!

With midifying the settings in highlighting, I have been able to set the width of the word wrap, and have a vertical line that I can click and drag the width I want on any given page. The word wrap follows that line as a guide.
Not as convenient as it used to be, but a workable solution for now.
