I am using HTML editor 2010 and have successfully set up my server connection to use web projects. I have created a project and uploaded all files to the server. I can now see all of my files on the server.

I have set the FTP transfer up to upload any dependencies.

When i upload a page, Coffee Cup does not upload all of the referenced images.

Anyone got any ides?

Could you be a tad more precise, you say you have successfully set up your server connection, and you can see all the files on your server... Does that include all the referenced images?

Or, when you say that you have set the FTP transfer to upload, are we still talking about the built-in FTP client in HTML Editor, or do you mean an independent FTP client?
Ha en riktig god dag!

Can you share a link? Make sure you have the images selected when you ftp the other files up to your server.:)

Originally I uploaded my whole web site without any problem. I can now see my local disk web site project and my server project, being a mirror image of my local disk.

Attached are copies of my file structure for both and my Web Site Project Settings.

If I now upload an edited page with additional images I understand that provided the dependent images are in their allocated folder, HTML Editor should prompt me before then uploading the dependent images. This isn't happening. The edited page is uploaded but the dependent images are not.

all of the images are referenced for example as follows: img src="image-files/racoon.JPG"

I think that's about all I can tell you.

Thanks

Are there any images in the image-files directory?:)

Stephen I think this is a bug in the program. I checked my project settings and made sure they were like yours and removed a image from my project and it didn't give me a warning about the missing dependent. I've been selecting the images manually so I never noticed the issue.

Stephen, I figured it out. If you want the program to automatically upload the dependents, then you need to click on the "Upload file to server" icon at the top left hand side of the editor. It's the little filing cabinet with the green arrow pointing up. Or you can click on "file" then in the drop down menu "Upload file to server". Now select the server you want to upload to.

Hi Eric. That's what I have been doing, but I will try the icon to see if that helps.

I tried this again and this time I did get the prompt and clicked Yes to upload dependencies, but then nothing happened at all. It didn't even upload the file let alone the dependencies. Will keep playing with the settings to see if I can get it work.

I now understand something further. Due to the Project Settings, it only needs one dependent file to be missing and the upload is cancelled. So I tried it with a proven page. The editor then uploads the file and in the bottom left had corner says it is checking dependencies, but it stays like that ad infinitum.

My understanding is growing but still not solved the problem yet.
