I'm a registered user of CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2005. Do I need to pay full price to upgrade to 2008? If so that's OK, but I what happens when you bring out 2009 in three months? Will that require me to pay full price yet again, or are upgrades included within the first year or so?

Victor,

When you purchased the HTML Editor did you purchase it directly from CoffeeCup? If so, you should have used an email address to login. If you remember you password, look above at the Get Support tab. If you click on that you should find a spot to log in and see all the software you have purchased and there you will find a download link for the latest versions.

If that does not work, you will need to contact CoffeeCup directly and have them search the records for your purchase.

Bill,

The registered copy of the HTML editor I am using was provided to me by CoffeeCup in 2005 for making a donation to one of the disaster funds that year. Since I never actually bought the software, I believe I should purchase the 2008 version.

Am I correct that once I do purchased the HTNL editor, future upgrade are provided at no additional cost? That would resolve the issue of purchasing the 2008 version shortly before I expect the 2009 version will be released.

Did I actually post the original note in CoffeeCup Announcements? What a way to introduce myself to a new group!

Well, I discovered that I am fully registered, but under an older E-mail account. So, I was able to download the 2008 HTML editor. But I still have two other issues, neither related to the software.

After this message was moved, all e-mail messages notifying me about new posts have an invalid link. Perhaps they point to the old location and I need to resubscribe.

Second, does anyone know if I can move the account that is under my old e-mail adress to the e-mail address I am using for this account?

Thanks to all.

We are all new to the new site, so I'm not sure about the resubscription, but maybe you have to.

If you remember your old mail address and password, you should log in with that and edit your profile to your new mail address.

If you are in fact registered under both your old and your new mail address already, as two 'persons' kind of, you may have difficulties changing your initial profile to a mail address that is already in use, and in that case you'd better contact CC support for help. Maybe they can 'merge' you into one individual.

I am registered under both e-mail addresses, so I'm sure I will not be able to switch the first to the second. I've contacted customer service, so will have to wait to see what they say.

BTW - unsubscribing from this thread and then resubscribing did fic the "broken link" problem.

I had 2 accounts one from 2001 and the other from 2006, Suzanne at CC quickly and efficiently merged the accounts into one.

I just checked and my two accounts have been merged as I requested via e-mail. This is great customer service.

I'm glad you mentioned the issue with subscribing to a thread that has moved. We'll have to pass that bit of info along to the CoffeeCup crew.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
