New to the coffee cup projects- and trying to make a test site.
When I try to upload whole site- I get the message :Unable to create remote path /css/ (or /images/ ) so themed site looks bare with no connection to images or css or any of the content I have changed.
Even if I select to just upload index file- the changes I have made locally don't update

http://www.franceholiday.org/- site

Like I said- just starting out!!

Hi Catherine

This is a known issue that we are trying to address. What you will need to do for now is upload your Website with any FTP program for the first time. After you do that, the upload will work normally inside of the software.

You can download a free FTP program here at www.coffeecup.com/freestuff

Ok, I've FTP'd (using coffee cup ftp!) but the site still won't update in html editor- I have to update it by ftp.

My experience has been that some CoffeeCup programs that upload files from within the application are unable to create the necessary subfolders, like /css, /images, or /files. When this happens, I just create the subdirectory manually with ftp and, like Scott suggested, subsequent transfers via the software work just fine.

Seems like it might be a server permissions problem that's getting in the way, but I haven't been able to pin it down.

All my subfolders are there now, and writeable, but still I can only update via ftp.

Hiya catherine,

sounds to me like maybe you don't have the ftp setup correctly, you may need to take a look at the settings again and double check that it's pointing to the correct location.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
