I am just installing the new version (unofficial but available) and have lots of questions but will just post what's most important to me.
Is the "improved character support when switching between visual and code editors in the HTML Editor" (NOT using the Visual Site Designer) a good enough step forward that it is now okay to use both and switch between them?
I have seen threads which say that, up to previous release, this was not advisable.

If this has been solved, that will be great news for users and make it much easier to recommend the HTML Editor to less experienced people who want to do their own web pages.

Yes, version 2010 build 317

I don't have the knowledge or time to help with Betas though I have done that fo other programs previously.

Updates are free if you have bought the html editor.
To get the updated version go to get support

If you click on get support then from that screen click on my products.
If you have the html editor it will tell you there is a new version.
Download that new version onto your machine.
To install the version I would recomend
- delete your current version,
- clean up your register using a product like CCleaner
- then install your new version

I have downloaded and installed the new version.

I found a template that looks as if it will suit one of my sites but I will not start on the CoffeeCup version of the site until I can read the new Manual.

The manual which is in this build is for 2009.

No worries, but I don't want to try to set up a working site without that information.
