I use ordinary text code to enclose my words in an invisible box.
<table width="600" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td>bla bla bla
</td>
</tr> I've been told EVERYONE uses this. It works for me sometimes and on the same page it will wor and then not work. Any ideas??
Thank you

I would like to ask Inger about my three webobject areas
Do I put all the new site objects into my editor (I still bring them in using the computer tab)
Or do I put any new pages I make into either the new folder or the website folder (both on the desktop)
Thank you in advqnce

To your first post: I replied to this somewhere else. That is not a form but a table. And EVERYONE used to use them for positioning about 12-15 years ago. Today they use CSS for positioning.
But I believe that you were used to the 'drag and drop' mode of the Editor, which was removed some 2 years ago. With that I believe you had 'text boxes', which might have been tables 'under the hood'. I never used the drag and drop thingie, so I don't know for sure.
To your second post: I'm not sure what you mean. You don't 'put' anything into the Editor, you open the Editor and locate what is defined as your 'working' folder, or your project folder, whichever way you are working.
I sent you the changes I had made in a folder called 'newsite'. As long as you are working on just your own site, you should save all your html files into that folder 'newsite', and all the images and music files in their respective subfolders. So you open the Editor, locate where you have the 'newsite' folder, and that's it. If you, however, start working on someone else's site, you should create a folder 'theothersite' or whatever, and keep all the stuff pertaining to that site in there.
If you have more questions addressed to me during the next couple of days, you might find that I won't be able to reply right away. We have this little thing called Christmas coming up, and I have family obligations. I may pop in here occasionally, but I won't be 'living' here
And hereby I wish you happy holidays!

I forgot one of your questions: Why the table positioning sometimes works and sometime doesn't.
It depends on the width of the table, the alignment (left, right or center), the cellspacing and cellpadding, number of columns, what is left or right of the table etc etc... Your zillions of spacer gifs probably come from the drag and drop times, when you could drag a 'box' to where you wanted it. The programme then had to fill in something pushing the boxes over from the left to right, and thus used the spacers. Well, this is just a guess.
When adding new contents now, after you have changed to the current version of the Editor, the old table positioning is not used any more, unless you specifically create tables with the same dimensions as before. Therefore the new stuff may be out of alignment with the older stuff.

OK,
When I look at a local preview iit's smaller and more formatted (although it seems to have gotten slower as I mess with it) see below.
When I look at the online picture it looks larger and although it has some formatting, it's all up against the left edge again. see below
I have all my files under the Program File (86) in the root of the C drive
Is this ok?
I tried sending you files, but the 100 k limit stumped me.

The placement of your local files may be ok, but I think it would be better to have them in a subfolder in 'My documents'. Easier if you need to back up your user files on your computer before reformatting e.g.
The files you were not able to upload here, is it possible for you to give them a different name (e.g. filename2.html and then upload them to your site? Then post the new names here, and we can take a look for you.

I'm beyond frustrated, but calm,,,
I put all of my files in a folder called Coffee Cup Software in my Documents file
I tried renaming a few files and uploaded them to no avail.
The text forms are gone from my pages, they dissappeared
Maybe it's because I'm 70 that I can't seem to learn this
maybe not
I am willing to pay someone here to maintain my site and let me send in updates
Talk to me please,
