My home page is basically a "shell" (designed by HTML Editor) with a macromedia (swf) (designed by Firestarter) imbedded:

I embedded the code exactly as instructed by Firestarter. When the page loads there is a yellowish line around the swf outline. You have to click once to get rid of this line. Then you can click on the links.

Any help is appreciated.

This "click to activate" was fixed about a year ago by Internet Explorer. Updating your web browser will fix this.
