Suggestion: new thread for each new...

Hi

I would like to suggest that a new Suggestion thread is created whenever a new version of HTML Editor is released.

I find the current "Suggestions for CoffeeCup HTML Editor"-thread hard to follow as some users asking questions relating to previous version while other are asking questions relating to the current one.

What does the good guys at CC have to say to this ? and what do the rest of you think ?

I just don't really see this helping much as so many people refuse to read before they post. You would be absolutely amazed at how many support tickets we answer that the customer has no idea what version they are even using. ;)

Learn the essentials with these quick tips for Responsive Site Designer, Responsive Email Designer, Foundation Framer, and the new Bootstrap Builder. You'll be making awesome, code-free responsive websites and newsletters like a boss.

Hi Scott

Thank you for replying.

I see your point and I really hope you're wildly exaggerating when you claim that 'some' users don't even know what version of HTML Editor they are currently running (I simply 'refuse" to believe this to be true)

To those of you who are in doubt: look closely at the welcome screen of HTML Editor !

Anyway, I can foresee the potential implication(s) my suggestion could cause and therefore I would like to redraw it.

Not a joke at all. We also get people who have no idea what operating system they are using and to make it even worse, what program they are using when submitting a support ticket. ;)

They sometimes have problems when posting a question in the forums...just open up the first forum thread that comes to hand without saying which application they are talking about, let alone which version of any particular one!!

Luckily this is not frequent problem, but it can set the cat amongst the pigeons as we mods try to decipher it all!

Well, you really made me laugh :lol::lol: - even if there is nothing to laugh about !

You might wanna make it so the desktop icon also show which version the user has, as it right now doesn't really show you anything other than the name of the program.

Well as funny or as frustrating as it may sound - ignorance is no excuse when the information is stirring you right in the face the minute a program is opened.

Not to forget those who don't RTFM before they ask a question.

Inger, Your feeling better I see. Thanks for the laugh. I needed it today.:)
Not to mention it's standard for almost every program I use to click on the help menu and then click on "About" and all the secrets of the universe are revealed.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

You are expecting people to look under the help menu? LOL. That's like asking them to use the search function here before asking the same question over and over.
CoffeeCup... Yeah, they are the best!

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
