Split screen preview does not move.

Hello
I have just upgraded to the latest HTML editor V12.7 build 456. I press f12 to get the preview screen but when I highlight the HTML code or a piece of text the preview screen does not move. I have to scroll down to what I am editing.

This happened on the previous version as well.

I thought that where I am on the code screen the preview will jump to that section of code so I can see it. Or am I wrong?

Anyone have any answers.
I am using Visa Home
2gb memory.

Still a great piece of software.

Try clicking on the opening <div> tag.;) Or any opening tag.:cool:

Thanks for the suggestion but nothing.

Whenever I click on any opening tag the only thing that happens is a Valid statement on the left hand corner of the screen. The preview screen does not mover or flicker.

Even if I choose the option from View-Split Screen Preview. Still the same nothing.

That's strange but now this morning mine is behaving the same way. Mine does how ever work if I click on the elements in the preview screen it highlights the associated opening tag. I will try a few things because it did work the other way before I posted back to you.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

I had this problem too, and it seems to be down to a strange anomaly in the program when initially installed.

What I did to sort it is:
1) Go to Tools->Preferences.
2) In the general tab, you should see both "code following" check boxes checked.
3) Un-check both and click OK.
4) Now repeat steps 1-3 re-checking both boxes this time and click OK.

Hey presto, the code following in F12 preview works both ways like it should do :)

Hello
Thanks for the help but nothing has helped.

I have done the steps even doing step then closing the program, then restarting then doing the next step but nothing.

Whenever I press F12 It takes over a minute for the preview window to display, during that time the whole program is unstable and will crash if I do anything.

Update:
Another thing. When I am editing some text or code, the preview screen is flashing as if it wants to locate the position I am editing.

Something seems to be blocking it.

Since a few of use have seen the behavior but you haven't been able to correct it, I would open a support topic so the CC gurus can look at your setup. :)

Sounds like you have some rogue scripts that might be running too. Try removing any scripts you've added (java, jquery, etc) and see if you still have those issues. I came across many times where the window wouldn't function as it should and most of the time it was some script I was trying to run that was messing it up. Might not be your problem, but can't hurt to check. And definitely let us know what support says too please :)
