Yes you do need to change the links so they go to the right pages, that does make a big difference

The Blue bar is not in line? should it be? or is how this template is?

It's how the template is James, if you notice the center area of the bar is lighter colored than the ends, it is supposed to represent a ribbon like look.

Yea, you have to edit all of the content in the template in order for it to render what you want.
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.
