Software Packages - Post ID 17994
Since CoffeeCup just changed around the packages, I feel like I just got screwed. I already owned the VisualSite Designer, which I purchased at a retail store. I also purchased the Website Promoter along with it. I was very impressed with CoffeeCup software.
So, after looking over the packages available a few weeks ago, I contacted CoffeeCup to inquire about custom packages, since the programs I wanted weren't together. I was told that they could not do that.
Okay. So, I ordered the top package deal for $119 (the one before they just changed it), mainly because it had HTML Editor 2005 in it. It also had, I believe, StyleSheet maker and SiteMapper, and then two others.
There were also some programs that I wanted in the second package, which also ran $119. And I was planning on ordering those in a short while. It was after I placed my order for the top package that I noticed you could 17 programs for $189. I thought oh well, the programs I really want (viz., Flash Blogger, FireStarter, the FlashForm one, Password Wizard) are all together in the second package for $119. So, I thought I would be able to come back and order that package.
But then I get to the page with the packages, and I see they MOVED the programs around! Thus, even with the 20% markdown (nothing compared to the pre-arranged package deals), the best deal would be for me to pay $189 to order ALL the programs. In which case, I would be ordering some programs for the SECOND time.
I would certainly appreciate it if somebody could help me, and perhaps let us order the packages that were there before, since that is really unfair for those of us who have already ordered software.
Thanks,
Mark

Hello
One of the issues any company has is that as you grow and add more applications, things have to change. We needed to re-organize the packages to a way that makes more sense for users and to provide the best possible value.
Unfortunately we can't offer any of the older packages anymore as our system is now setup for the new. However we do offer the 20% discount if you want to create a custom package.

I realize this is an old topic, however it is pertinent to me at this point. I remember seeing something about "order x quantity of programs and get a discount" on the ordering pages before. I do not see this anymore. Is "bulk buying" still available?
Also, if I decide instead to buy an existing package(s) (which may very well be the most cost effective for me) , can I transfer the original license to someone else? I really don't need 2 HTML editors or 2 FTP clients per se.

No, we do not offer that any more.
We also do allow you to transfer a license from you to someone else, but you will need to call into our office to do that.

I've been using CC software for years. Admittedly, mostly the free programs, but I have bought a couple periodically. Honestly, the bundle deals make it so it doesn't bother me if I wind up obtaining a second license for the programs I have bought. But there used to be a package that contained ALL of coffecup's software. I was so hoping to get that next month (you know, tax season and all that), but now I don't see it available
Am I just hard of seeing, or has it been permanently removed from the store?

That one has gone Mark and been replaced by some other smaller bundles.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

You can still order all of our software as one bundle, but the price is far higher then the $249 we used to offer. Call our office at 678-495-3480 an Suzanne can tell you your options.

Thank you for the response. I'll probably start with the Web Designer pack then pick up individual programs as needed. Thanks again for the great software

Mark J and Scott,
I purchased the ALL package awhile ago when it was available. CoffeeCup is a very good company and I love the software - getting into it more, all of the time. Previously, I only used Netobjects Fusion because it was easy-to-use and I could easily train my clients on its use for them to update their own sites.
My recommendation - from a few years of consulting and business - is to offer a full bundle at a discounted rate. For some of us, it is a great deal and we like the lure of having it all!
As an added bonus, it also allows us that are new to your software, to get a copy of everything, so that we have it as we grow into using it.
Keep up the good work. Thanks to the egg hunt, I am learning all kinds of new things about the software and picking up ideas about the way I do things.
Cheers
