Is it possible to create a template in the HTML Editor and use it in Shopping Cart Creator?

No not really. You could do it the other way around and use SCC to make template for the HTML editor.

That's what Shopping Cart Designer Pro is for, can't do it any other way so best give it a trial and see how it goes
