Hi, this is my first time here.
I am using the html editor and I am very happy with it, but recently this keeps happening, when I open a file and make some html changes then save the file, I get a box come up saying 'file can't be saved' and I lose my work.
Has anybody got any ideas why this may be happening, would love some help.
Thanks
Janice

I have a similar problem. First, I open the Website project and the page I want to edit and it takes minutes to just open the file. Then once its open it is very slow to respond to my changes. Finally, when I try to save my changes, it takes a minute delay and then I get Error windows popping up. It is not always the same set of code numbers. I can't save my work or even run Spell check without getting error messages saying something like "Access violation at address 0040B70F in module Coffee.exe. Write of address 004052D5."
I have had this problem over several days. I have shut down and restarted just The HTML Editor, AND the whole machine several times. I even just uninstalled the software, downloaded it again from the website and re-installed it.
What's going on? UGH!

Hello,
I would suggest both of you put in a support ticket so the dev team can help you with this. You can do this by using the menu at the top and selecting Support and then Your Support Room and enter a post there for assistance. Good luck and please come back and post the results of how it's fixed for others

I did put in a support ticket. However, I had trouble doing that since the webform took quite awhile to "post" my question. It actually just showed me a new Ticket Request window twice when I entered my question.
I called there contact information during office hours and got a message saying their offices are closed, go to the website for support.

You might try e-mailing headhoncho@coffeecup.com, as a last ditch effort to get direct assistance. Although many CC Employee's do pop in here frequently, this forum is really more of a user-user support effort. You MAY get an answer here, and several folks will try to help you, but the direct support ticket IS the best option normally. Let us know the outcome.

There is no need. We did get the support ticket.

Janice - have you gotten any help?
It has been four days with no resolution. While the Support Room has responded to ask me more questions (am I running Service Pack 3 update and am I logged into the computer as an Administration), I have still not received any suggestions for the slow work and error messages I am receiving.
As you can hear, I am very frustrated. I will continue to post updates and hopefully, support won't take 24 more hours to ask me another question.

Just an FYI, you did send in your support ticket towards the end of the day on Friday and even though we are closed on Saturday and Sunday you did receive some replies. Your latest reply only came in at 10:15am today, so we should get to that pretty soon.

I have been using CC since 1998, but I am looking for a new editor. My machine is running Win Vista Home 64 bit. 6 gig ram, 250 gig hd. Problem is it takes at least a minute and a half to load the program. While it is loading the working symbol (round rotating donut) goes round and round and it also flashes off and on. When it finally loads the working symbol remains on the page spinning. If you move the cursor it is slow and might take as much as 30-45 seconds to move. If you save a file the program locks up and stays that way for from 1 to 2 minutes.
I have absolutely no problem with any other program and several of them are 2006 releases.
I opened a ticket and this guy Scott...was no help! Basically he says no one else is having problems with CC but me. He suggested a couple of things which did nothing. After several responses I gave up....which is what I think he wanted because he hasn't a clue as to what to do.
I have been using CC all these years but until I loaded the 2009 release I had no problems. After using the program all these years I do not want to change, but CC really does not seem to care that I, who have been a loyal customer for years, need help. I guess Scott is the only tech they have.
Something is wrong with cc 2010...that is a fact! Any suggestions how to fit it or what other html editor would you suggest I get?
Thanks

Coop your problems with the editor loading slow is more then likely a local problem. There are thousands of users using the newest editor version on many different versions of windows with no problems at all but every program made will get installed on to a PC that has some other program running that will interfere with the operation of the program. I'm sure Scott gave you some suggestions of what to try to get it working. Do you have anti virus software running? How much system resources do you have available? You stated that you have 6Gig of Ram but how much is actually available? You have a 250 GB hard drive, How much of that is available? Do you have any other programs that seem slow? I'm sure there's a simple solution to the problem.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
