Inserting a relative link does not insert the correct link with ../ for a different folder.
Specific steps to create issue:
Highlight text to be linked.
CTRL L
Browse to a different folder
Click on the file that is to be linked to.
The link that is inserted has the correct folder and file name, but it does not have the ../ up directory indicator.
If I just click on the file in the left hand file browser and drag it to the document, the link is inserted correctly with the ../
It does this both as a website project, and under "my computer" tab.
I know the difference between absolute and relative links, I have read the manual, and the faq and searched the forum.
Also, I REALLY miss the ability to just drag a file from wherever in the left hand file browser to some highlighted text in a file and have it automatically linked without having to call up the link dialog box.
We could do this in Homesite 3, I'm surprised Coffeecup can't do it.
1. URL to your Website : Local on my computer
2. Operating system: Win 7 64-bit
3. Version of the application: HTML Editor Paid Version 12 Build 375
4. Trial or registered version: Registered
5. What specific steps have you taken to create this issue? See above
6. Does it occur every time? Yes
7. Can you recreate the issue on another computer? don't have the editor installed on another computer. Although I do have Homesite 3 installed on another computer and don't have this problem. :-)
