@David strictly promotional, maybe google adwords in the near future when I get all errors fixed on my pages, i'm going to look at the coding and see what's making my menu's bounce up and down, but i'll try and fix that asap.. it's really trial and error with me and my coding, if it works i'm happy if it doesn't, i'm glad to take a closer look and see whats causing the error.. but I do need a little help every now and then :)

If your client is happy with it that's great, but you still should get opinions from a range of users to get an idea of what works. The front page I think would be fine for now if you drop the extra image at the top. The main one spells it out fine. The bio page just needs a little better structure to make for easier reading. The font color isn't to bad.:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Matt (or is it Max...??),

I'm very glad you take the critique in stride and as intended, i.e. an attempt at tough love support!
I think you may have some special and unusual talents, so keep at it! Go where your spirit leads you and never lose heart!! ;)

Oh, and about the song, - if the client's son created it in a garage and you all love it, who am I to say that it is wrong?! My problem with it was not really the song itself, but rather the fact that it insisted on starting automatically!

I agree with most of what has been said (no need to repeat all six paragraphs ;) ). But I need to say something about music starting automatically. Just imagine, if someone happens to open the site at a public library or so, or if a student, who is not so keen on what his teacher is telling the class, just browses the web and chances upon a site with music blaring out of the speakers. Much better to set the default to off and let those who want to listen have the option of turning it on.
Ha en riktig god dag!

Uncle+Max,
. I use the about page just to state his bio as instructed by my client, the services page is just his basic info to contact him as instructed by the client.......

Just as in any other service profession, sometimes the client needs to be told that something he wants isn't practical or even reasonable. We need to steer them in the right direction to ensure they get the best results.
Often they look at things from their viewpoint rather than that of their potential audience. Which leads to poor decisions – like annoying music popping on unexpectedly :o Or long unbroken blocks of text in eye-popping colors... who's going to bother reading it?

...to create a site strictly for promotional purposes...

The one thing I'm not seeing is examples of what this guy can do – front and center as soon as I land on that home page. If he wants to promote his art/talents, that's what viewers need to see. ;)

Check out how others promote their work, get some inspiration. Here's a good one to get started with:

I hope you'll end up with a great site for your client and something you can be proud of as well :)

@paintbrush I get it , you don't like the music, but you don't need to be rude about it. I'm over here trying my best to keep it together and all you guys are doing is making remarks, try helping and letting me know what part of the code to change.

She never said she didn't like the actual music Max. It's the volume I think that most people would want toned down a little. I also think it's fine to have it on there but have the default volume so it's just noticeable playing in the background at normal listen levels of your average persons pc. I have nature sounds on one website but there only heard slightly actually providing a great affect.:)

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
