Yea, back in the day (like three years ago :) ), I found it incredibly difficult to update zen cart.
The philosopher has not done philosophy until he has acted upon the mere conviction of his idea; for proof of the theory is in the act, not the idea.

Like I said, If you don't make modifications to the core files and only customize the template and override systems, you will be OK. If you customize the cart by changing the core files, disregarding how the override system works, updating the cart will not be a fun process. :)

Wouldn't that compromise the theme if you've built it in the SCD/basic or pro and then edit your theme in there later? Not sure, I don't mess with files, but curious on that part for myself and anyone else too.

I suspect the conversation has become confusing.

Is the Joker talking about the Zen shopping Cart of SCC or both?

My thoughts are its best to adjust the theme for SCC in Designer to how you want it and not fiddle with code in other files outside of Designer to change design.

SCD is for design and SCC for content.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

Well I think you strayed off topic to Zen cart but others might think you were talking about SCC :P
