Opening Files- Goes To "Working" Can...
I've tried to get the darned editor to be set to a different folder when I go to "open" files to work on them- is there a setting somewhere that I am missing? I HATE this going to "working" when I click on OPEN. Also, is there a way to LOCK the toggle line wrap, I am sick and tired of having to do that every time I open a document to work on! I'm sure there is a simple fix to both of these, can you tell me where they are?
Well, the only way I can see to change this is to 'hack' the coffee.ini file in your application data\coffecup software\coffeecup html editor\settings\ folder
If you are brave enough (do this with the editor closed) find the file, open it with notepad and look for the lines:
StartupFolder=C:\Internet\CoffeeCup\HTML\SampleProject\
FindLast=C:\Internet\CoffeeCup\HTML\Working\
changing the folders to what you want should make life easier for you. There are other paths there as well you can change should the mood take you.
Be aware this is undocumented hacking of the editor's files and as such will void all warranties.

If you have a project open, the default working folder will be the project location. What you can do is go to the My Websites Tab and then close the currently open project. Now when you open the editor, your preference for the new default working folder will be saved. If you re-open a project, it will then revert to that setting.
Word Wrap and line numbers are set by each document. To globally set it, go to Tools > Preferences > Customization > Modify Options.
Isn't it cool how much you can do in those preferences!

Doh! (slaps forehead). Of course! The Preferences! Why didn't I think of that?

Yeah Cathie, what Scott said. Forget I mentioned hacking at all. (My version does work a treat though!)

Um... I'm feeling a little dumb. I landed here because I want to permanently turn on word wrap.
I've gone to Tools > Preferences > Customizations > Modify Options and fiddled with the Word wrap column and "Override wrapping" settings. Nothing seems to turn on word wrap by default for documents in the editor.

Hiya David,
Be sure that on the Preferences dialog window on the General tab (right side top area) that you check the Word Wrap there also. Usually that will do it, but the other setting is in case you want the settings different than the default for specific file types.
Hope that helps
