hello,
I'm trying to craft a sample website to give my 10 year old nephew to perhaps interest him in programming and HTML seems a good way to show him the power. I bought the latest editor a few weeks ago.
I figured I'd add some sound "onmouseover" but it appears I've chosen one of the toughest gimmicks there is. There is already a thread on this subject but the example website is gone, the thread was rather cryptic and I recall it devolved into a Firefox Activex discussion.
Q1. Is there inherent audio support in Coffeecup's latest HTML editor? (I've tried the <audio> tag without success). My aim was to first make it work within the Coffeecup domain before venturing into the wild. My impression is there is no inherent audio feature so a javascript hack is called for.
Q2. Attached is a sample file which contains a javascript and four experiments in embedding sound. Only <embed> works, which at least confirms the .wav location is properly pointed to.
Is there anything obviously wrong? Is there a known good javascript?
Any observations appreciated,
Thanks,
Andre.

Code in bold is not from the Coffeecup editor.
I've tried commenting out <style type="text/css"> with no success.

Hiya Andrew,
Give this site a look and see if this is what you're talking about. They have some pretty useful scripts that you can use and I think this is what you mean.
By the way, I think you forgot the script attachment
