No Such Interface Supported - HTML...
Hello,
I see posts regarding the "No Such Interface Supported" going as far back as 2005 to yesterday (regarding the 2007 version). The most recent suggestion was 'install the current [2008] version'.
I'm troubleshooting a PC that's running Windows XP SP2 (up to date).
It is running the HTML Editor 2008 version.
I've found that when the software runs on the User account, this message is produced; however, when I run it as the administrator, there is no problem.
I don't want to give the user administrative access for this machine. Is there something I can allow on a limited basis or a way to shortcut to the program always as Administrator without having to sign in every time? Or is there a completely different fix out there for this?
Thank you,
Elizabeth

At this time to use the editor, it must be run on an account with administrative access. The ability to run under a limited user account is not available.

Hi Scott - looking forward to when HTML Editor can run as a 'regular' user.
For now, as my main user account is just a Power User, I use Sudowin (http://sourceforge.net/projects/sudowin) to elevate my user account to admin status to run certain programs. So far, I've found HTML Editor to run just fine like this.
PS> It's quite surprising how little you really need admin access. I really only use Sudowin to install new programs.

Hi, this just started happening with my computer a few weeks ago. I've tried everything I could find on the forums, including; upgraded, run as administrator, compatibility mode. I have even uninstalled and reinstalled. Nothing has worked.
I am running Windows 7. The editor worked great on this OS for several months, but now, I have no functionality with the visual editor because I can't get there.
Thanks,
John

Hi John, you can't get there as you can't see the tab or get an error on launching?

I can see the tab. The program opens up fine, and I can edit using the Code Editor tab. I can preview the page. Once I hit the Visual Editor tab, and try to save to move forward, then I get the error.

I would suggest opening a suppor ticket John and make sure to tell us the following:
1. OS you are using
2. Version you are installing
3. If you are using the software under a limited or admin account
4. Firewall and Antivirus programs installed.
