I have a working website, www.ownersmanualforyourkids.com. On the home page at the bottom, I wanted to put a link to my blog. I downloaded the site to my computer and made the change. When I preview it on the Coffecup HTML editor, the link appears to work. Then I click "upload file to server", it appears to upload without a problem. But the change is not made on my actual website. What am I doing wrong???

It sounds like you are uploading the files to the wrong remote folder. I would double check to make sure that the path you entered was correct. If you refer to your hosting account setup e-mail, they should list what the correct remote folder path should be.

Thanks, I contacted my hosting co. One quick question. When I edit a page on my site and then upload it to the server, I can look in the root folder and I think I see the uploaded file but the old file is still there. So when I view the website in my browser, it displays the old, unedited version

There could be two reasons for this. First, your browser has cached the files and this is why you still see the old site. To test this theory empty the browsing history of your browser, then try it again. The second possibility is that you are sending your files to the wrong folder. My question for you is, is it just one file that you are trying upload or more than one, and are you seeing all of your old files or just one. If you are seeing the old versions of all the files you are trying to upload then either something is wrong with your ftp, or you are uploading to the wrong folder.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any other problems. :D
