Need Refreshment - Download... - Post...

Hello and Thank you...

Small things are wrong. I'm beginning to "limp along." I really would
like to do a "refresh-type" download to see if that will speed things up.

How do I do that.

1) When I use <Document><Validate><HTML> the return file is in an HTML code output of W3C. I don't get a browsed view. If I do an "F12" the returned file shows "browsed" as a lower split-pane.

2) When I open CC, in the Edit Pane it displays the last file I worked on. I would like CC upon open to display the last "LOCAL Disk" display I was using. My CC goes back to "ROOT."

3) The TABS are MY WebSite, My Computer, Code, Snippets and Characters. I NEVER use CODE nor CHARACTERS. Why cannot I minimize or hide those tabs. I don't like to "sort" those tools when my screen height is small.

I NEED a refresh-download. It is 64-bit... to start.

Thank you for your help... Jim Pohl

For 1) http://validator.w3.org/
It will validate all of your coding for you.. working on 2 and 3 as we speak.

For 2)http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/html-ed … s-in-pane/
I think this might help a little bit, I don't think you can get it to go back to local disk unless you aren't working on any websites because CC auto saves it's settings after you save once.. but i'll look further into this. :/

Jim,

re your point #1: If you have associated your html files with the Html Editor, then the validation page, which is a html page, will also open in the Editor. Change the file association to your browser and that problem is solved.

Point #2: Check out what you can do in Tools - Preferences. You can have the Editor open no file, a blank file or the last file you had open. And then you can set your 'working' folder to any folder you want. The editor will then open that folder on startup.

Point #3: You have to have all the tabs or none of them. But you can set which one, My computer or My Websites, you want to have opened on startup. You can also click to make them all go away. Not that it will have any effect on your monitor height. though...
Ha en riktig god dag!
