Does anyone know where the CSS is to edit the navigation backround on my new site, i'm using a theme but PS'ing it. I re-painted the bar's in the navigation bar and footer bar, but I can't find the imageset to edit it. www.torchboard.org .. It's for a friends mod.
Ok I'm going to once again probably waste my time saying this but....
Please go learn about CSS before you really get yourself into a lot of deeper code that everyone else fixes for you Matt. No offense meant here, but really, your menu is a fully CSS menu, there are no images there. That's all I'm going to say on it, you will need to learn about CSS in order to know what to do with that menu and you have obviously not taken any of the hints I've given you for books too read or you'd know that already. Getting the books doesn't finish it, you have to read them too.... *goes to take her own advice too*
Truly no offense meant here though, just that you are asking a lot of questions that everyone else has to fix your "client" sites for, which you should be learning about yourself instead. Helping with questions about something on CSS or HTML is one thing, but a few have done the code for you many times over for multiple sites now, and that's just a lot to expect others to do for you on a constant basis.
I truly understand that it's a lot to absorb, trust me, I don't absorb it all in the first take myself either, I have to sometimes look at things multiple times before it clicks, but it will click if you keep at it, but just constantly having others do it for you doesn't teach you anything at all, just gets the job done that you are doing for others. Sorry if this sounds harsh, but learning is a lot more productive for you than you are aware of I think.

So true – You just need to do it yourself a few times so things will start to stick.

... just a chunk of easy to edit CSS in the stylesheet.

I am with you Mat, why learn it yourself when you can type and ask. It is never the answer that is important it is always the question.

I mean the yellow nav backround in the back of the menu on torchboard.org. It's not really a backround I guess but it does say nagivation_bg on the title of the image
What have you tried so far Matt?

Just searching through the stylesheet for the images.. I photoshopped my new navigator backrounds and that's about it.. I know if I find that code it would be just a swap for those images, I think i'm doing good so far adjusting themes when I can find the codes..
Yeah, I can't find it.. but it has to be hard coded into the website somehow?
I'll give you a hint.
