MS security update causes Visual Tab...

I received the following error when I went to open the HTML Editor just now.

"Microsoft security update for DHTML editing component has been detected. This update (KB 801781) causes the visual editing portion of the Coffee to run improperly. As a result,m the Visual Tab will be disabled."

Now what do I do? I just bought this software after speaking to someone in customer service, and they suggested this was better to get than just the Visual software, as I wanted a drag and drop web design software. Now I can't use what I got it for. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi Mary Ann,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having trouble. Can you tell me what operating system you are running the software on? Windows XP, Vista or 7? If Windows XP, what service pack? SP1, SP2 or SP3?

Don't know if this will help but a client of mine had a similar problem, on XP Pro with service pack 3. I told him to upgrade to the latest version of the HTML editor. He did this and the problem has gone.

Thanks...I have Vista SP2 and just downloaded the coffee cup software a few days ago, so I have the latest version. I also just got the cds in today's mail. I had no problem the first few times I used the software, but when I opened it today I got the error message. Since MS does automatic updates it sounds as though something they updated is causing this software to not work anymore. Thanks for your help.

Scott...it worked! I had an issue with admin permissions when I tried to run the download on the link in the article, but I was on the phone with MS for another issue and whatever he did made it so I could run the download, and that fixed my coffee cup issue! Thanks! And thanks to the others who also replied.
