marquee problem and temp file save.
I have two problems with my new coffee cup. (I am using Windows 7). First, every so often I get a popup message saying it is "unable to save a temporary file," or something similar to that. I have set my preferences so all my pages get saved in my "homepage file" rather than in a file under coffee cup.
The other problem is that this morning I created a marquee and had a working beautifully. I had closed the program, and somehow I lost a lot of the stuff from that page. I have redone it, but now the marquee isn't working. I've checked the codes over and over. My text is where I want it, but the marquee will not scroll. Any ideas?

If you are working and go back to a page and all the code is gone don't save the page or you'll lose the work before the last save. Just close the page and reopen and you'll be back to the last save you made. There's a few beta testers trying to pin this down.
The unable to save temp file thing I have seen a few times but I can't make it happen on demand.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Can we have a link to the site with the Marquee on it to test the code?

I would, but they are not online. They are on my computer, and I can't figure out how to send a coffecup file.
I have a long table with all my buttons on the left side of the page. My title shows up just fine beside the table, but when I put the marquee in, it wants to jump all the way to the bottom under the table and I don't know why. It probably won't go, but I'll try to paste the code here as a last resort.

<div align="left"> The man who regards himself as President of the United States has accomplished something that other would be socialists dreamed about but never quite achieved. He has brought evil of all sorts out from under the rocks where heretofore they poked out their ugly heads, accomplished a nasty bite in this or that segment of American society, and then ducked back under cover while people got used to the wound. The sudden deliberate, bold exposure of the most unAmerican elements among us, of the most inhumane, the most divisive, the most hateful characters--people like Van Jones, Nancy Pelosi, Al Sharpton, the New Black Panthers, and more has led many true red-blooded, freedom-loving Americans to the realization that the county that is supposed to be directed by the authority of We the People is instead being controlled and destroyed by a culture of individuals who hate the idea of innovation, liberty, responsibility and instead want the entire country to become enslaved to entitlements.
<P>
Unfortunately, we can't blame the government--i.e the president, the congress, or the corrupt judges completely. We the People have become so complacent about just going to the polls and doing our duty by voting that it no longer occurs to us that we aren't even in charge of who we vote for. We no longer thing for ourselves. We allow our government run school systems to tell us what to think and then, as adults, we allow the media to create the dialogue and tell us what our opinions are.
<P>
We are in a doomsday slide from which we may or may not rescue ourselves. If America is to survive, we must begin to think for ourselves, to parse the mis-information constantly poured our way, to get out of our entertainment mode and educate ourselves. At the same time, we must work at the local and State levels. The States, like the individuals, have become accustomed to government candy--seemingly oblivious to the fact the the ingredients for that candy came entirely from the people. Be it highways, schools, health care, or energy, the money from the federal government was taken from the people. The States should be claiming that which was theirs in the first place.
<P>
Our only real hope for saving this country is to get true conservatives at the state levels who will band together and simply refuse to support a rogue government. States should be keeping their own revenue and sending only to Washington that which is necessary for the essential functions of government. Individuals cannot do this on their own. States and their elected officals can if they will join forces and say to Washinton and to all the minions of evil that support this corrupt regime, "No more, get back under your rocks, and stay there. We the People will save our country, our families, our churches, our businesses, our sense of decency and morality. Those who still want to transform America into some other place need to go someplace else themselves. I hear Greece may have the lifestyle you want." </div>

Really? So why when I put it in does it drop all the way to the bottom of the page below the table and then put all my text after that? I don't get it.
Ok now that's weird. I saved your code on a page and closed the editor and reopened your page and now it's jacked like you described. I was getting the "couldn't save temp file" before saving.
Try changing your doc type. I don't think HTML 5 is going to play fair with tables.
Edit: this is a browser issue. Previews fine in the html editor but gets whacked when previewed in IE9 of FX 11

Not sure if this has anything to do with anything, but looking at the code I'm trying to figure out just what this highlighted center tag is for as it isn't anything that should be in a table and also I think your tags are jacked a little, you may want to go through and make sure they are all setup correctly. Not sure if you did this manually or if some program spit it out for you, but I think the highlighted
font-"" face="Cornerstone"
should actually be:
font face="Cornerstone" :
<tr><!-- Row 2 -->
<td><font size="3" font="" face="Cornerstone" center=""><font color="#0000ff"><center> "We Remember" (artwork by Samuel Meakim)</center> </font></font><br> <br>
Also be sure to uncapitalize your code tags for the P and the BR tags you have. Caps is definitely not standard anymore.
Other than that I can't see much wrong by just looking it over, I can put it into the editor after while though if it's not corrected when I come back later

You should try floating the elements left that you wish to appear where you want.
