For some reason, I cannot install the new build of CC HTML 12.6 (Build 448). Below is the error I am getting. I checked my disk space and I have 31.8GB free and I have not had any permission changes on my PC so I should have access to the destination directory. Like I said, I have never had an issue before. Anyone else report a similar error?

Looks like a permission issue to me. Are you logged in as an administrator? Have you tried rebooting to see if that helps? What if you right-click on the installer and select Run as Administrator.

Lots of things to try. ;)

I would recommend it. In the zip file there are installation instructions and release notes to help you.

Hi Scott,

Yes, I am an admin of my PC and have full permissions to install software. I have not tried a full reboot, but I will do that next. I did try the run the installer as an administrator (right-click on installer and checked the box) as you suggested, but that did not help. I'll let you know what happens after the reboot.

Thanks!

Maybe run Ccleaner and get rid of junk files to get more disk space? Google Ccleaner!

I just rebooted and tried the install and still received the exact same error. I uninstalled again and tried to do the installation to a different folder than the default and received the error again. I'll take a look at CCleaner to see if that helps. I just find it odd that I have never had this issue before and have installed CC HTML many, many times before.

For some reason on install CC HTML was having an issue writing to the "Default Layouts" folder in the My Documents folder. I completely deleted everything and was getting an error that I did not have permission to delete the Default Layout folder. Seeing as how I am an Administrator on my PC I decided I was not going to let Windows win this battle so I defiantly decided to hit the retry button about 50 times to see who would give up and beg for mercy first. Would it be Windows or me? Ive had plenty of coffee today, so I could go all day! After about the 100th time of hitting the retry button on deleting, the folder deleted! I tried the install again and everything installed and fine. I'm not up and running.

I need to go home and boot up my Mac and play with the CoffeeCup OS X Web Editor just to clear my head. Man I hate Windows! ;)

Thanks for all the help.

That's it, Craig, Never ever give up! ;)

But you say ...everything installed and fine. I'm not up and running. Do you mean 'I'm NOW up and running' or have you still got issues?

Whoops! I meant to say "I'm now up and running". I can't blame windows for everything apparently. My bad grammar and spelling is all me! :D

Thanks!
