Can someone tell me why my index.html file has now become index.cpfs?

That is your Website Project file. This is different than your index.html file. It contains your file path settings.

File path settings for what file? I took my files in to Dreamweaver to move them around because DW updates links (which CCHE does not...but should..hint, hint). Then this file appeared when I was done moving and updating. Did this have something to do with what I did in DW, as this file was not there in my CCHE project.

I found out we still have the index.html , but was still wondering how we developed the one .cpfs.....since it was not there in our original project
