I just bought a license. The main reason I purchased is for the visual editor capability but I don't have the tab, just Code Editor and Preview.

I haven't used the visual editor (or rather I did try to use it some years back until I realised that the visual editor & code editor aren't compatible, they tend to mangle each other's code when switching between them in the same file).
I think this is the reason that CC hides the code editor tab, you can un-hide it by going to tools then preferences then general.

If visual editing is what you really are after, I think you may have purchased (or are trialing I hope) the wrong program. Visual Site Designer is probably what you should give a try at as that's it's main capability. As Zipper also already said, the 2 editor types on the HTML Editor don't play nice together so you really can't swap back and forth for changing code etc. The visual editor, although fairly capable, is no where near as powerful as the Visual Site Designer program is.
