Is there any way that someone at CC could quickly whip up an HTML5 Two-column fixed where the Nav section and Extra Stuff sections are in the left column (section?), and the main content is on the right?

After more than 3 hours mangling about, I have just given up trying to Frankencode my own template based on one of the HTML5 layouts you have already created. My sad attempts ended upcreating monstrosities that ended up looking like the Terminator T1000 after it ate that grenade. So I'm stymied.

I Frankendesigned this layout from the layout list of the other ones, to show you what I have in mind.

I would have thought this would have been the first HTML5 layout you would create. It is so traditional and familiar (nav left, content right). I suspect it will be the most often used one if you create it.

There are some free templates for you to choose from that meet your criteria.

I know that HTML5 and its new section structures should be simple, but I can't get my head around it yet. I will study what you've done in the code and the css and see if I can understand it. I don't know how I've earned this hero status. All I did was shifting a couple of floats and changing some widths. It was done in 5 minutes.

How? Because in 5 minutes your Viking-like super-css powers saved the day after my three hours of css amateur night created a monstrositysite not even a mother could love.

I find adding comments in my CSS file after a specific tag helps me learn what certain things do and helps me remember them too so something like this:

.tagname {
attribute1: blahblahblah; /* this does this special little effect */

And sometimes if the original CSS file doesn't have things marked as to specific sections (menu, footer, header, etc.) I will do that too with comments to help me find areas faster.
