HTML editor working for .LESS files?...

Is the HTML editor compatible with .LESS files? I have had trouble saving (and then compiling) .LESS files. I thought they were just UTF-8 or ANSI text files, but apparently there is something different about them. Never had any problem with .css files.
thank you

I asked about the same some time ago and got the reply: 'it's doable'. In other words, Not yet. This was my question:
I'm looking into .less files and tried opening one in the Editor. It opened after I had added the file extension in 'Files' in Preferences, but the Editor was no able to make use of it when I tried previewing a html file with a head link to the .less file.

So you can make the Editor OPEN the files, but any preview will have to be in the browser.

I think that LESS files must be saved in "UTF-8 without BOM" format. After that you need a compiler or an interpreter to convert them to css.
