Hi,

The program actually runs (according to task manager), and the Coffee Cup icon shows up in the task bar. However, if I hover over the icon and try to maximize the program, nothing happens.

This had happened to me a few times in XP, but I was always able to fix by uninstalling and reinstalling.

I have also tried running as administrator and in compatibility mode with XP SP2, but this doesn't work.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

John

It should work. I have windows 7 and it works fine for me. Did you try re-installing?

Yes, I reinstalled 3x. It was working fine in Windows 7 up until today.

hmm, sounds more like a windows 7 issue than an html editor issue. Maybe someone else in the forum will have better luck. :(

Hi guys,

I was having a problem with HTML Editor not opening on a Vista mchine. Tech support told me to open as an Administrator. That fixed it for me.

Here's what I did.

Right-click on the program icon
Select properties.
Check the box run as administrator
Close up the box.

The app works perfectly now.

Hope that woks for you too.

I am having some troubles with ultimate as well. Maybe that is the windows 7 problem. See CC claims that all of their software is compatible with Windows 7, but I am struggling to get some core programs to work properly. But I purchased windows 7 ultimate, it did not come standard with my OS. So now I am wondering if their is some incompatibility with the ultimate OS. I guess I don't know the difference between an OS that comes standard on a computer, or one that you purchase and install yourself.

ALL CC Software does work in Win7 environment. The catch is 64-Bit is not officially supported. Although SOME of us have had success with running some or all of CC software on our 64-bit systems, others have had some problems (ranging from just mild and tolerable, to flat out don't work).

Anyone knows why on one system something works and on another it doesn't when its the same operating system?

Eric - Don't know. I don't think anyone CAN know until some tracking is done. I (personally) think the success is more 'hardware' related. BUT until someone sits down and says computer xxxxx Win yyyyy works fine, computer xxxzz Win yyyww HTML Editor fails fully, etc... we will never know. I tried to get something stirred up with a thread earlier, but users never really put in their 2 cents worth. Can't compile data that's not shared. *Shrugs*

Well, I would be interested because now I have to purchase a new computer because the one I have "W7 32 bit" wont run shopping cart without the cart crashing. Support doesn't know whats wrong either. I have heard other people having this problem as well, which is what prompted my question. It seems foolish to purchase a new computer with the same OS as my current computer, just because it might work on the new one versus the old one. Nevertheless, I am stuck with client work that needs to be done, and so have to purchase something new in hopes that it will work.
