Lost my website!!! Here's what I did per your note and instructions:
With the latest release of CoffeeCup HTML Editor, we made some modifications to the installer to allow for greater flexibility on how the software can be installed. This improvement now allows for the HTML Editor to be installed under an Administrator account and limited user accounts. For many years the HTML Editor has always been installed into the C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software folder. Therefore, we are now installing the software into your user's AppData folder.

If you already have an existing version of the HTML Editor, please follow these steps:
1.Go to the Windows Control Panel > Add Remove Programs and uninstall all versions of CoffeeCup HTML Editor.
2.Now install HTML Editor.

For those that have inquiring minds on where the HTML Editor is installed, this is how you can locate it. You will need to make hidden files and folders visible in order to access this directory. Here's how: Windows 7 - My Computer> Organize > Folder and Search Options > View tab. Scroll down and select Show Hidden Files and Folders. It's also a good idea to uncheck Hide Extensions for Known File Types.

The software will then be located as follows: Windows 7 - C:\Users\Owner\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software
How can I get my website back?

Your site, if it is the one in your signature, seems to be alive and well. You could download it to your machine, if it is the local files you have lost. After that, you could create an new project with your existing files.

But I bet a pound to a penny that your original files are still there. Uninstalling the Editor does not remove projects. Take a look in Documents - CoffeeCup Software - HTML Editor - Projects and see if you can find them.
Ha en riktig god dag!

You should ALWAYS make a backup of your projects to keep elsewhere before upgrading/uninstalling/etc. programs that affect them, just as a precaution. Not doing that isn't the software's fault by any means, but do what Inger says as that is truly the case, the software does not delete your project files, only the program itself.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
