Is there a way I can re-install the previous version of the HTML editor? I just updated to the 12.5 and I miss my preview window! I hate the fact that I have to do 2 clicks for it to open my browser and preview.

You would need to open a support ticket for that. However you don't have to do 2 clicks, press F1 for Split Screen Preview and F12 for External Preview Window.

ok thanks.... actually the F11 works nicely

The F1 key also only opened up a help window with a pdf document and didnt do a split screen

One other question.... unless I need to open a support ticket for it..... How do I associate my files ending with .php to open up automatically in the HTML editor. I had my previous version set that way but cannot get this one set up.

I noticed the shortcut file is located in appData\Roaming\CoffeeCupSoftware\Coffee.exe but it will not allow me to associate an exe file in that location

All you need to do there, is right-click on the PHP file and then click "CHANGE" and browse to that location, select the coffee.exe and click OK. That will associate it the Editor.

Nope will not work.... first of all the appData folder does not appear in my browse folder so I have to manually type it in then navigate to the roaming folder then coffeecup then I double click on the coffee.exe and it will not associate it with the exe file.

I think it has something to do with the exe file being in that directory or something but I tried about 6 times and it did not work

You will have to turn on hidden files and folders in order to access that area. Here's how:

Windows XP
Open your My Computer folder. Select Tools > Folder Options > View tab. Scroll down and select Show Hidden Files and Folders. It's also a good idea to uncheck Hide Extensions for Known File Types.

Windows 7/Vista
Open your My Computer folder. Select Organize > Folder and Search Options > View tab. Scroll down and select Show Hidden Files and Folders. It's also a good idea to uncheck Hide Extensions for Known File Types.

Strange. I cannot replicate that here. It works for me on XP, Vista and 7. Are you on a Limited User Account or Admin account.

Is there a way to make the split screen preview opened by default when I open a file?
