Sure it will. CoffeeCup is always working on improvements. I suspect they started working on the 2009 features as soon as 2008 was live.
Give them some time to make sure it works the way they want and to have a beta test period. Generally, they have a beta test period, then after things are fixed there, they open whatever they are about to release as a public beta. So your first alert that they are about to release a new version may be a public beta test.

We are actually running the latest version in beta. Expect a public announcement in the next 2 weeks here in the forums .
