I need advice on how to develop a 3 column site that contains a slider (preferably a Nivo) using nested divisions.
Any sample coding or tutorial would help.

Will this be a fixed-width or responsive site?
Do you want the slider to span the width of all 3 columns?
More info, please

Yeah, more info is needed.
For the three columns you could create a div with display: table, and inside it three divs display: table-cell.

There are also plenty of themes you can choose from on CC's site that have this already as well as some blank style layouts in the HTML Editor itself in the default installation. There are a handful of 3 column ones both fixed and fluid as well as some responsive ones that you can get in the theme store. Might be easier to go that way so you can see how it all works.

Takes JoAnns advice and please don't be tempted to use HTML tables for non tubular data.

I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Nah I didn't take your post that way either Inger, just pointing some other options in there in case they didn't want to do it all manually.

I didn't think it did either but I just wanted to make sure Walter doesn't go that route.
